Carla Scaturro
Carla Scaturro is a native of Caracas, Venezuela. From an early age she developed a love for cooking & baking. She went to college for Business Administration, but always felt that her real calling was baking. Though she doesn’t have any formal training in culinary arts, she does have a tremendous passion for it. She started making cakes as a hobby for her little sister when she was 15. After moving to the USA, she decided that she was going to make her dream a reality. She has taken workshops at the ICE (Institute of Culinary Education) in New York City and with different celebrity cake makers like James Rosselle. These classes have helped her to become the talented baker that she is today.
With her husband, two sons and sister’s continued support she began her baking career. In 2006, she began making custom cakes. She started out small by creating custom cakes for friends and family and voilá! Busy Bee Creations was born! Since 2006, Carla has created hundreds of custom wedding cakes as well as cakes for corporate events.
